The Albemarle County Service Authority is developing a Water Line Cleaning Program to assure our customers will receive clear and excellent quality drinking water. The operation will start at the Route 726 Water Tank and branch outward through our water system in the Scottsville area.
This process could take as long as two or three weeks, but we will be working quickly to reduce any inconvenience. Cleaning will begin on May 12, 2008 barring any unanticipated difficulties or weather-related delays.

Rain Sensors Required

As irrigation systems are prepared for the spring, be aware that ACSA has amended its Rules and Regulations to include a requirement that all irrigation systems have an operational rain sensor. It is required that these sensors be adjusted to temporarily shut off the irrigation system once one-fourth (1/4) inch of rainfall has occurred.

ACSA's Rules and Regulations: Section 17- Rain Sensors on Automatic Irrigation Systems.
