ACSA Engineering
The Engineering Department oversees the design and construction of public water and sewer lines in Albemarle County. Work begins in the site plan process where staff participates in the County’s Plan Review Committee. As a development project works its way through the approval process, staff works closely with project engineers to insure the utility design meets the Authority’s standards. The department maintains extensive local mapping and data files to assist in the design of the public lines. Once construction begins, staff will provide utility inspection services to insure the system complies with the Authority’s
General Water & Sewer Specifications
In addition to new development, the Department is available on an individual basis to assist homeowners looking for water and sewer services. Questions regarding availability of public water and/or sewer should be directed to this department between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Engineering Department can be reached by calling 434.977.4511.
