This position requires a well organized individual, focused on detail, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include education and experience equivalent to graduation from college with advanced coursework in accounting, and extensive experience involving the maintenance of complex financial and statistical records. Some supervisory experience is necessary. PART-TIME ENGINEERING INTERN NEEDED! Albemarle County Service Authority has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern. Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 but some night and weekend work possible to accommodate your class schedule. 5 to 15 hours per week. More than one position is available, share the job with a friend. This is an ongoing position. AutoCAD, ESRI GIS and Microsoft Excel experience are helpful, but training is available to a quick learner. Some field work required. Must be able to lift and/or move 75 to 100 pounds and the ability to climb may be necessary. A current driver’s license is also necessary. Some office work including filing and scanning of as-built plans as well as GIS editing. Possible help with hydraulic modeling (both water and sewer) and sewer flow metering software and hardware. The ability to program in Python is a big plus. This is an excellent opportunity for Civil/Environmental student to gain valuable pertinent work experience but other E-school students are welcome to apply. ACSA is an equal opportunity employer.
